There’s a little thing on the internet known as “throwback Thursday”. People post old pictures each Thursday as a form of nostalgia. I’ll admit I’ve never participated because who would want to see me as a teenager or little kid?
Looking through some old photos the other day, I started reminiscing. I have a big box full of pictures taken before digital cameras were prolific or affordable to everyone. I thought it would be fun to not just post an old photo once a week, but to post one each day in April.
Not just for others to see and get a chuckle, but I’m also posting for my own posterity. There are so many memories I had forgotten about until I came across a picture of it. I can’t imagine losing those memories if anything were to happen to that big box of 4×6 prints.
So here is Day 1. This was taken on a rainy day in Washington DC waiting in line to get into the US Capitol with some German exchange students. circa 2003
