This past week was the annual Automattic Grand Meetup in Park City, Utah. The mountain views were incredible, and every single one of the people I met were just as amazing. I got to spend the week working on a project with colleagues I don’t normally work with which was really fun. There were also plenty of activities planned from paintball to skydiving to disc golf.
My only regret is not signing up for more Utah-specific activities like canyon river rafting and a photo walk downtown. I opted for paintball and disc golf instead. So on the morning of the last day I made sure to get up on one of the mountain hiking trails to take a few photos. I’m glad I did because walking around the gorgeous location by myself was very peaceful and relaxing — just what I needed at the end of the exhausting week.

All in all it was a wonderful week. Very exhausting and mentally draining, but a lot of fun meeting some of my 270+ colleagues (there’s no way I could have sanely met all of them in a week’s time). Thank you to all of you that I met and made my first Grand Meetup an overwhelming and beautiful experience.
For those of you who don’t work with me yet, why not change that? We’re hiring!
I really love the photos in this set! The one with the thistle in the foreground and the sunburst in the background is especially awesome.

Thanks! Glad you like them. They are literally the only photos I took with my DSLR the entire week.
