I originally found this recipe in a grilling cookbook. Over the years I’ve changed it up, added some things, removed other things. I often leave out some of the pepper if I’m making it for the kids to eat too since they don’t like as much spice in their food.
After making these, my family hasn’t grilled frozen burger patties since. Delicious and worth the minimal effort for fresh burgers.

Ground Beef | 1 1/2 lbs |
Worcestershire Sauce | 1/4 cup |
Egg | 1 |
Oregano | 1 tsp |
Cayenne Pepper | 1/2 tsp |
Black Pepper | 1/2 tsp |
Salt | 1/2 tsp |
Garlic | 1 clove, minced |
Steps
- Thoroughly mix all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.
- Flatten meat mixture into 4-5 hamburger patties.
- Grill to desired done-ness.
- Add favorite toppings and enjoy.
